Billing
Where: Billing in the sidebar (#/settings/billing). While your
workspace is on a trial, a strip at the top of every screen shows Trial
(or Workshop), how many days are left and your workspace name. It turns
urgent in the last five days.
public/guide/billing.pngWhat you see
A status card:
- Plan: for example trial or paid.
- Tier: your subscription tier (for example Developer).
- Subscription: the Stripe subscription status, when there is one.
- Trial ends: the date, while you are not on a paid plan.
Under it, one of:
- Upgrade: opens Stripe Checkout to subscribe.
- Manage billing: opens the Stripe customer portal (invoices, payment method, cancellation) once you have a subscription.
- An amber note: Billing isn’t configured on this deployment, and every feature is available with no subscription.
After Stripe sends you back, the screen confirms the outcome (your subscription is being activated, or Checkout canceled, no charge was made).
What it means
Payments are handled entirely by Stripe; TruStacks never sees your card. A new workspace starts on a 30-day trial. The Developer tier is the plan on sale during Beta; see pricing on trustacks.com for what it includes. Higher tiers are not sold during Beta.
Your LLM usage is billed separately by your LLM provider under your own key (see Settings); it is not part of this bill.
What to do here
- Before your trial ends, Upgrade if the screen offers it.
- Use Manage billing to change your payment method or cancel.
How it connects
- Seats on Team are tied to your plan once billing is enforced.
- So is the SOC2 Specialist Pack, which paid plans include: the SOC2 specialist on Gap analyses and the evidence on Compliance. Pricing is at trustacks.com/pricing .
Beta limits
- Billing may not be live yet. If you see the Billing isn’t configured note, nothing is charged and nothing is gated: every feature, including SOC2, is available.
- Plan limits are not enforced in the app during Beta (for example seat and service counts).
